Link Tree ~ More Clickable Links In Your Instagram Bio

One downside of Instagram is that you only get one clickable link in your bio. So if you have multiple accounts that you want to share, you cannot provide a clickable link to all of them. In my case, I have a blog, a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, a list of products we recommend, Paypal donations and of course, my wish list. People will be more likely to visit you on other platforms if they can click straight through. This is where Link Tree comes to the rescue.

*Note: I highly recommend all foster families set up a wish list for their kittens. If you missed that post, you can click HERE for instructions on how to get that started.

It might help you understand these instructions if you check out the way I have things set up on mine. You can go to my Instagram account bio and click on my Link Tree. You'll be able to see what it looks like for your followers, from your bio to your Link Tree.

Link Tree has a free service that allows you to connect your Instagram account and you can put as many links there as you want. You sign up, link your account, put in your links and name them. Then you have one personalized link that you can copy and put into your Instagram bio. When someone clicks on your Link Tree, it will take them to a menu of clickable clinks to as many different web addresses as your heart desires.

To get started you will click on "Add New Button/Link". You are able to name each link in the top line and in the next line you will enter the URL. Be sure you are entering the correct website address. I prefer to go to the page I'm linking, copy the address from the address bar and paste it directly into the URL line to avoid accidental typos. Once you have the correct link and the title entered, you will click on the orange button on the right hand side to activate your link. Once you click it, it should turn green. If the button stays orange, there is something wrong with your link. Double check to make sure you have the entire URL entered correctly.

You can click on the green button to archive your link at any time. Doing so will make the indicator gray. This will make you link disappear for your followers but it can be reactivated at any time. You can also permanently delete a link. There is a great tutorial page on Link Tree that will show you how to manage your links. Click HERE to get to that page. Just like the wish list, you will put your personalized Link Tree link in the 'website' line while in 'edit profile' and save it.
