Dream Big
How often do you get to make one of your lifelong dreams come true?
I have taken in, given medical treatment to and found forever homes for so many dogs and cats over the years and it's always been a dream of mine to one day become a foster parent to some amazing animals. I'm so excited that this day has finally come! I had to wait for the kids to grow up enough to understand that these foster cats will not be ours forever and how to care for them properly while we do have them. I was able to take a big step in this direction when we decided to adopt Baxter and that has been such an amazing experience that I could hardly wait to start fostering.
As always, God's Perfect Timing worked all of this out for the best. Last week the shelter was overflowing with litters of kittens that needed fostering until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and ready to find their Forever Homes. John and I have been having such a hard time this month after the loss of my sister and we couldn't have chosen a better time to bring some extra love and smiles in to our house. I thank God for this blessing. As John, the kids and I sat in the bedroom floor getting to know our guests and watching the kittens play, we laughed and smiled more than we have all month. Our foster litter is 3 little girls who we're calling Josephine, Jack & Sugar and their momma, Honey. Sugar was born with one giant foot!
